It looks like Nokia is branching out, as its first branded TV “The 55-inch Nokia Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart Android TV” would be making its first appearance in India
According to a report by Gadgets, an Indian company Flipkart has been given the chance to sell the Nokia smart TV.
Speaking on the product, Vipul Mehrotra, Flipkart’s VP of Nokia brand partnerships said, “Flipkart’s understanding of the needs and behaviors of Indian consumers, and the power of its reach, will help it make Nokia branded smart TVs accessible and affordable.”
The smart TV will feature two 24-watt speakers as part of a sound system from JBL by Harman, an Android-based operating system, a 16:9 display with a 60Hz refresh rate, support for Dolby Vision and HDR10, three HDMI ports, and two USB ports.
This is the first time Nokia is introducing a product outside what it has been known for. According to the report, it will be made available on December 10th. However, we don’t know when it would come to Nigeria, well we are hoping to comes soon.
Nokia will be selling the TV will sell for 41,999 Indian rupees, which is the equivalent of about $589.07 US and in naira, ₦213,538.
