Samsung launched its foldable Smartphones, yesterday at its Unpacked event and more interestingly Galaxy Z Flip was part of it
For those who do not know, the Galaxy Z Flip is the second foldable phone to be released after Galaxy Fold. It also has a new approach in terms of design as it comes in a new clamshell design with only a single main screen.
According to a news report, the Galaxy Z Flip features a Snapdragon 855+ processor, internals similar to the flagship of 2019 phone instead of the impressive S20 series processors. It also features 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
One of the things that made the Z Flip very impressive is its display which is a 2636 x 1080 resolution. The smartphone stood out because it is the first display on the market that has an ultra-thin glass cover on it, which is also a foldable glass screen.
What also makes it special is the phone clicks which are at different angles such as 120°, instead of being freely flexible at any angle. The form factor (an aspect of hardware design that defines and prescribes the size, shape, and specification) falls in at 73.6mm width.
When the device is folded, it falls at 87.4mm length and 17.3mm thick at the hinge and 15.4mm at the sagging end. When it unfolds, it becomes 167.3mm length and 6.9mm thin. For the weight, it weighs 183g, with impressive at 3300mAh.
For the front camera, it is accessed through a punch hole in the screen and it features a standard 10MP sensor and f/2.4 aperture lens at an 80° field of view. The rear cameras feature a 12MP wide and ultra-wide angle module similar to that of the S10 and Note10 series.
According to the news report, the Galaxy Z Flip will be available for everyone on the 14the February 14th starting at $1380 (₦501,630.00) and 1480€ (₦587,084.12).
