Angola Airlines “TAAG ” has finally made its first appearance in Nigeria
According to a reliable source, the airline began its operations on December 16, 2019. Speaking on the new development, Chief Executive Officer, Rui Carreira, admitted the company has been trying to extend its wings to Nigeria for about a year but to no avail.
“This inaugural flight is a dream come true and we hope to increase our destinations in Nigeria and the neighboring countries,” Carreira said.
He added the aim of the TAAG Angola Airlines coming to Nigeria to strengthen businesses between Nigeria and Angola. “We hope that our governments will work hard to facilitate the movement of our people,” he said.
Giving details on the routes, he said, “We are very excited to be announcing our new service to Lagos the latest destination added to our network that will further connect African countries and beyond and by which we expect positive results. This route will allow easy connections to and from Johannesburg, Sao Paulo, Lisbon, and Porto”.
The Angola Airlines made its appearance four days after Turkish Airlines bagged a progressive suspension from Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), for recurrent ill-treatment of passengers.
