Apple Buys U.K. Startup To Improve iPhone Picture Taking

It has been reported that Apple now has a UK-based startup to improve iPhone picture taking

According to Bloomberg, Apple has the tech giant has closed up Spectral Edge Ltd, which shows Apple is in control of the company. 

Spectral Edge Limited provides image processing services, and it developed a technology that takes infrared shots and makes it standard photos using a machine that produces crisper images with more accurate colors.

According to a profile by TechCrunch, the technology can be embedded in software or in silicon. It also has the ability to enhance low light smartphone images and improve more security camera or drone footage.

According to Bloomberg, Spectral has raised $5.3 million in funding last year. It could also integrate what Spectral’s technology can do into its AI for photography.
