Apple has released two new colourful watch bands and watch faces at just $49 (₦18,934) to celebrate the LGBT “Pride” month which is next month
The Apple Watch Pride Band feature a light-coloured rainbow striped over the entire strips. The other band is a twist on the existing Nike Sport Band, which is a white band with rainbow colours situated in the holes of the band.
The band watch also has a matching colour on the face. One features a soft-coloured rainbow, designed to match the new rainbow band. For the new Nike band, Apple designed a watch face with a background and rainbow coloured dots.
The newly released devices will be available as part of WatchOS 6.2.5. According to the news report, there might be an additional Pride-themed watch faces. Apple began to release new Pride-themed bands and watch faces annually in 2017 to celebrate the LGBTQ+ pride month which holds June of every year.
For the whole of the month, different pride events such as parades and festivals are held across the globe to acknowledge the members of the LGBTQ+ community. The event may likely be cancelled or held virtually this year, this to the ongoing health pandemic, COVID-19 which has also gotten lots of prominent events cancelled. This is to help stop the spread.
