Apple recently added a couple of new products to its store; the iPhone XR is one of them and the other is a USB-C charger for the Apple Watch. Previously, the only way you could charge the Apple smartwatch was by using the USB-A cable. Now, in a bid to address the limitation faced by users of the late 2016 and above MacBook Pro users, Apple has finally released a USB-C charger for the Apple Watch. Customers who are interested in picking one up can now do so through Apple’s online store for $29 (N11, 000).
According to the rumour mill, it suggests that Apple will embrace the USB-C port even further on its future products. The new iPad Pro that is likely to be announced later this month is one of the new tablets from Apple that are expected to opt for the USB-C port.
While the company hasn’t confirmed that as yet, it’s now selling the USB-C charger for the Apple Watch. We’ll only come to know for sure about the company’s commitment to the USB-C ports going forward once it unveils the new iPads. Apple has scheduled its event for October 30th and the new iPads are likely going to be the only major thing on the agenda.
