If you are wondering what WWDC means, then here is a quick answer for you. The abbreviation stands for ‘Worldwide Developers Conference’ and it can be attended by every and anyone around the world including you
Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) has been a staple event for the company since the turn of the 21st century. The first ever WWDC was held in 1983, but it wasn’t until 2002 that Apple started using the conference as a major launchpad for new products. The International event has always been a top priority for the tech giant and further listed it as one of their annual programs where you can anticipate the company’s product manual.
Apple, as usual, will be holding another of that kind of event this year, and the tech giant has announced that it will be holding the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, California from June 3 to June 7.
What to expect
Of course, this year’s edition will not be so different from what has always been, however, with a touch or recent innovation one can expect a more mind-blowing event than ever. The company will have various sessions, consultations and hands-on labs for developers to learn about all the new software that will be announced and also to learn more about existing products. Attending developers will get to spend time with other developers as well as Apple’s own team of software and hardware developers during this period.
Access and Reservations
As usual, you won’t be allowed to participate in the four days event except you follow necessary procedures, and it includes the acquisition of tickets that are priced at $1599. Also, like last year, developers will be chosen on a lottery basis this time around as well. There are also scholarships for students and STEM organization members to get a free ticket, lodging and a year of membership in the Apple Developer Program.
Of course, for a lot of people, what really matters is that, as usual, Apple will be announcing the next version of iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS; this way, any attendant can lay hands on first-hand information about the brand, and that alone is a major benefit for been present at the event. Among the software stuff, there may also be some hardware news, including the one many have been waiting for two years now, and that’s the new Mac Pro announcement. The keynote is on the first day itself so expect the announcements to happen on June 3.
