According to stats from last year, Epic’s Fortnite Battle Royale which was probably one of 2018’s most talked about games, was said to have been earning $2 million a day on iOS devices. However, this is definitely not a number to sneeze at when compared to King’s Candy Crush.
Based on a recent report, Candy Crush is said to be averaging $4.2 million a day. The game in 2018 was reported to have made more than $1.5 billion in revenue from microtransactions across both iOS and Android devices. Given that this is a six-year-old franchise, no doubt this is a very impressive figure.
The original Candy Crush is also said to have made $945 million, and that 29% of spending valued around $443 million came from other spin-offs such as Candy Crush Soda Saga, while the Candy Crush Jelly Saga brought in $90 million. The latest title, Candy Crush Friends Saga, is said to have made about $3 million following its release back in October 2018.
As to how Candy Crush fares compared to the more recent competition, Pokemon GO was said to have earned $800 million in 2018, while Fortnite made about $445 million on iOS devices.
