Planning to get a MacBook this year?
Well, just for a while because Apple is planning to release a new 13-inch MacBook Air that comes with a lower price tag during Q2 of this year.
This is according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, and as reported by 9To5Mac.
Currently, a 13-inch MacBook Air sells for $999 ( N359, 640) or $1,199 ( N431,640) depending on the specifications.
While it saw a minor upgrade back in June 2017 when Apple upgraded the processor to the 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 part, it hasn’t seen a major upgrade since March 2015.
Although Kuo doesn’t reveal how much cheaper than the current MacBook Air, there are indications that the price can slash down to $799 (N287,640).
The MacBook Air consists of a full-size keyboard, a machined aluminum case, and a thin light structure. The Air is available with a screen size of (measured diagonally) 13.3in (33.782 cm).
