As expected, there would be several smart home-related announcements at CES 2019 and we can always except LG to deliver with varying groundbreaking technologies. Now, in the wake of the event, the company has taken the wraps off its smart wardrobe integrated with Google Assistant.
Named LG Styler Black Tinted Mirror Glass Door, the Styler not only comes with a smart mirror but also comes with a steamer inside the Styler. It uses LG’s TrueSteam technology to help keep your clothes clean by eliminating 99.9% of germs and bacteria typically found in clothing.
According to LG,
Clothes placed on the moving shake out wrinkles and unpleasant odors while Gentle Dry removes moisture quickly and thoroughly. Heat Pump Drying reduces energy consumption by recycling heat from the hot, moist air inside the Styler and Pants Crease Care ensures a neat, tidy look by eliminating wrinkles and creating a crisp crease-line without an iron.
It sounds like it is a bit over the top, but we can imagine that this is what wardrobes of the future could look like. There is no word on pricing yet but given its features, it won’t come cheap.
