Instagram now has a new record holder for its most like image
In the history of Instagram, Kylie has the highest liked image content, but not any longer. A new record holder for the most-liked image has just surfaced, and it is an image of a non-living thing. Can you guess what that thing might be? An image of an egg has just crossed the 18 million like count that was formerly owned by fashionista, Kylie Jenner, who happens to be the former holder of the record of the most-liked image on Instagram.
The photograph, an egg, uploaded on January 4th, had the explicit aim of overtaking Jenner’s record-breaking birth announcement to become the most-liked post on the service. The egg post officially passed Jenner’s 18 million likes on Sunday evening, and currently has just over 30 million likes as at the time of writing this article.
In an Instagram story responding to the win, the account’s owner “Egg Gang” said, “This is madness. What a Time to be alive,” and thanked their followers for support. On the other end, Kylie Jenner responded to the viral egg post with a short video of her cracking an egg onto the ground with the caption, “Take that little egg” Do you think Kylie is jealous of an egg, or its just her making fun of the situation.
The Interesting part of the news is that some other IG users have been using the opportunity to create new accounts with similar username in the quest of gaining followers and likes, and the truth is that it actually works for some like “world.record.egg.official” and “world_record_eqq” scrambling to cash in on its success. However, Egg gang has the outstanding count so far.
