Elon Musk has asked for AI to be regulated across all company including Tesla
According to the news report, the founder was responding to an allegation by OpenAI by MIT Technology Review, which stated that Tesla has shifted from its mission which is to deliver AI safely.
Musk who is a staunch critic of AI and he has never hidden his negativity on intelligence. He has once said it is “more dangerous than nukes”. He also called it “our biggest existential threat,” suggesting that humans should be careful of it.
Musk who has been in the news for quite a while now previously advised users to delete Facebook saying it is lame. This time as well he was responding to a tweet by Sacha Baron Cohen who says how can the information of 2.5 billion people be controlled by 1 person, suggesting that it should be regulated.
Musk responded by saying “DeleteFacebook it’s lame”. In 2018, Musk who is also the Founder of Telsa showed his hatred by deleting its company’s Facebook account and tweeting about it.
It was also reported that Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have never been on good terms with the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In 2014, Musk met Zuckerberg, researchers from Facebook’s AI lab, and two other Facebook executives at Zuckerberg’s Palo Alto home. The meeting was to convince Musk of his wrong perspective about the potential dangers of AI.
