About 212 Nigerians who have been stranded in Eygpt since the COVID-19 lockdown just landed in the country
This was announced by the Federal Government earlier today. This announcement was made after about 158 Nigerians stranded in the Niger Republic arrived yesterday.
The evacuees arrived in an Egyptair Airline at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja at exactly 1:50 today.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) made this known via their official Twitter page.
The good news is that none of the evacuees tested positive to the COVID-19 before boarding the plane.
They will also be in self-isolation for 14 days as mandated by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
“EGYPTAIR conveying 212 stranded Nigerians arrive Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at exactly 1350HRS today 31st of July, 2020. All evacuees tested negative to #COVID19 before boarding and will now proceed on a 14-day SELF-ISOLATION as mandated PTF on #COVID-19.” The tweet reads.
More details will be revealed later……
