Over the past few months, it has been reported that LG is working on a new hybrid smartwatch that would combine elements of a Wear OS smartwatch with a traditional watch complete with hands for the minutes and seconds markers. This hybrid watch is expected to be called the LG Watch W7 and according to a new report, it suggests that the device is going to be officially announced on October 3rd.
The report also suggests that this hybrid smartwatch from LG is going to launch alongside the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the LG V40 ThinQ. However, not much is known about this device’s design, specs and features at this point in time.
Leaks of the device suggest that it may have a 1.2-inch display, 768MB of RAM with 4GB of storage. The leaks, however, didn’t mention any GPS or NFC functionality but that’s to be expected from a smartwatch that’s aiming to give customers the best of both worlds.
LG has an event scheduled for October 3rd where it’s going to unveil the LG V40 ThinQ, it’s next flagship smartphone that comes with five cameras. The LG Watch W7 is now expected to be unveiled alongside the new smartphone in the coming month.
