Microsoft Antivirus now available on Google Chrome browsers.
Microsoft is launching a Windows Defender antivirus scanner for Google Chrome this week.
The updated feature is intended at protecting users from malicious URLs when using the browser. This is coming as a follow-up to Google’s initial move to fix malware and malicious URLs within the browser.
However, Microsoft claims that the new Windows Defender antivirus will run an effective 99 percent protection against Malware, when compared to the 87 percent and 70 percent for Firefox.
Users who are interested in protecting their internet space on Google Chrome from malicious links can now opt for this extended version. Microsoft’s Windows Defender Chrome extension is available now from the Chrome Web Store.
