Rumour already had it that Microsoft would tease Gamers with two Next-Generation Xbox Consoles, but all that has been thrashed by the brand which has disassociated from the rumoured Console codenamed Lockhart.
Although Xbox Chief Phil Spencer did reveal the company was “deep into architecting the next Xbox consoles,” at E3 last year, plans have clearly changed as only Project Scarlett was mentioned as a single console this year.
Scarlett would ship with both a high-end console, and a “cloud console” with limited amounts of local computer “for specific tasks like controller input, image processing, and importantly, collision detection.”
However, reported on Windows Central, which has long been taken down stated that a cheaper Xbox One S-style console, codenamed Lockhart, would appear in holiday 2020.
In an interview with Business Insider, Spencer has, however, clarified on tense choices from last year stating that he indeed mentioned Consoles, but the moment the brand is working on a Console, which is the project, Scarlett.
