The latest Windows 10 update, KB4482887, was supposed to bring several improvements for the company’s operating system but it has done the opposite. Many people who updated have noticed that the latest version of the OS has lead to performance issues in games and with mice. However, Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and said that it’s working on a fix.
In the release notes, Microsoft mentions that after installing this update, users may notice “graphics and mouse performance degradation with desktop gaming when playing certain games.” The company adds that they are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release. It says that users can uninstall KB4482887 as a short-term resolution to regain performance.
It is also worthy to note that the update brings several quality improvements to Windows 10, however, no major non-gaming issues have been reported with this latest update. So those users who don’t play games on their machines have nothing to worry about and can continue to enjoy the latest version of Windows 10 without any concern.
