The Presidential Ministerial list for the Nigeria federal government is finally out, and as you would expect, is full of surprises
Although coming 83 days after the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari was sworn in, the new ministerial list has finally be released, and it includes one of our own favorite- the holder of the position of Minister of Communication. As a matter of fact, the newly elected candidate- Dr. Ali Isa Ibrahim Pantami, is one of the four people we had initially suggested for the said position in a previous post.
While the newly elected candidate may come as a surprise for many, it isn’t for us, as we have foreseen the possibility of him becoming the next holder of the presidential role in charge of information.
As part of his qualification highlighted in the previous post, we wrote that “Once a lecturer at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Information Technology and later appointed CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) where his directive for unemployment was to develop the ICT infrastructure in the North East.
Dr. Pantami later organized an annual conference on financial fraud and cybercrime in Abuja with the Financial Ministry of Justice and private sector partners. His packed portfolio on information and technology buttresses his strength for the ministerial seat.”
These among other reason has made Dr. Pantami qualified for his new role, and we hope that he carries out a great job during his stay in the Aso Rock.
Once again we say a big congrats to Dr. Ali Isa Ibrahim Pantami.
