MTN is slowly pushing aside Airtel, Glo, and 9mobile as it led the way according to report.
According to analysis from the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), a total number of 493,556 internet subscribers left Glo and 9mobile and patronized MTN and Airtel.
MTN who topped the chat for the first time is 5 months gained a total of 488,120 internet subscribers, contrasting an earlier report where it recorded a huge loss of 667,245 internet subscribers.
The report shows that Globacom keeps losing internet subscribers more people dropped the network for the second month in a row. The company recorded the loss of 370,845 internet subscribers. In total, the company loosed 525,963 internet subscribers to other network subscribers.
Just like Glo, 9mobiles also failed to attract new subscribers as its steady decline persisted in the month under review. According to the report, 122,711 internet subscribers left 9mobile, as contrary to the 156,065 recorded in September.
Airtel continues to come behind MTN, while Airtel has significantly gained subscribers this year, it still remains behind MTN in regards to total numbers of internet subscribers.
As of the end of October 2019, MTN’s has a total of 65.87 million subscribers in regard to the 65.3 million subscribers it recorded in September. Airtel rose to 49.08 million subscribers, Globacom to 50.25million, while 9mobile continues its free fall with 14.7 million subscribers left.
