Neflix Allows Parents Block TV Shows And Movies From Kids’ Profile

Netflix’s has upgraded its “Parental Controls” in a way that allows parents completely block TV Shows and movies from Kids’ Profiles

With millions of children at home, they will be opportune to have a lot of movie series and cartoons to themselves. That is why Netflix has upgraded its parental controls to block movies and tv shows that are unwanted.

Once parents or guardian removes it, the title will not show up in the profile. You can also add a PIN password to any of your individual profile to prevent kids from using them. The streaming service also allows parents to see a history of what their kids have watched and when in their profiles. Parents can also disable autoplay of episodes in kids’ profiles.

Netflix is now letting parents and guardians filter out titles in kids’ profiles “that are not appropriate for their age” based on country-specific rating systems.

“Choice and control have always been important for our members, especially parents,” Michelle Parsons, in a statement. We hope that these additional controls will help parents make the right choices for their families,” Netflix’s global product manager for kids programming said

Netflix account owners can access profile-management settings by clicking “More” in the app or by selecting “Manage Profiles” from the drop-down menu in a web browser.

Stephen Balkam, founder and CEO of the Family Online Safety Institute, also speaking on the new development said, “Netflix’s parental controls give parents and families the ability to shape the experience they want their kids to have on Netflix, and help keep them safe.”
