Video Streaming Service, Netflix can now let you stop reviews from playing automatically
Netflix who made the announcement on Thursday said this in a statement, “Some people find this feature helpful. Others not so much. We’ve heard the feedback loud and clear — members can now control whether or not they see autoplay previews on Netflix.”
The autoplay in Netflix has annoyed a lot of viewers. The anger blew out of proportion when the trailer for “Don’t F**k with Cats” appeared on their homepage last December.
The trailer for the documentary about killer Luka Magnotta doesn’t show anything graphic, but it contains clips of him handling kittens. The trailer goes on to explain that Magnotta gruesomely abuses these kittens.
A user who watched the video said, “Dear @netflix could you kindly not make the #DontFwithCats trailer autoplay so I don’t have a nervous breakdown? I can’t even go near the thought of watching that.
If you want to disable previews from auto-playing on the homepage, you will first of all need to sign into Netflix from a web browser on your computer. Then select the Manage Profiles button from the menu and click the profile you will like to update.
Once you have done that, simply check or uncheck the option to Autoplay previews while browsing on all devices. You can also enable and disable the next episode of a show from auto-playing.
Netflix has really taken a great step as this will allow users to stop watching videos they do not like once it is disabled.
