Nigerians are finally embracing mobile internet subscription.
According to reports from the Nigerian Communications Commission an estimate of over 100.9 million Nigerians now use mobile internet.
This report is a validation of the Commission’s report as at February 2018. The rise is depending on the increment in Smartphone usage in Nigeria.
In the span of just a month, between January and February 2018 the country recorded the purchase of 1,102,081 lines across mobile network providers.
Interestingly, mobile purchases increased in Nigeria despite the falls and rise in the country’s economic standards.
However, while brands like MTN and Airtel had smiling to the bank success story, brands like Glo and Etisalat lost their subscribers.
The rise and falls in brand placement cannot be directly placed because the Commission has not given extra details as to the causes of the telecommunication
