If recent reports were to be believed, then it seems that Samsung is working on a new smartwatch which may be launched as the successor to the Gear S3. According to the report, Samsung may launch the Gear S4 this August, possibly alongside the Galaxy Note 9 which some believe will be announced on August 9.
The previous two generations of its Gear smartwatches were launched at the IFA trade show in Berlin which takes place in September. However, this year, the company is expected to ditch the IFA stage for its new smartwatch and unveil it alongside the Galaxy Note 9 instead.
Although not much is known about the specifications of this new smartwatch, however, recent reports have suggested that it’s going to be thinner than its predecessor and may even have a bigger battery inside. Other features that are expected to be present include an enhanced support for Samsung’s Bixby virtual assistant.
