It looks like the Lagos State Government has developed more interest in technology as it gave a seed fund of N250 million to the Lagos State Science and Tech Council to provide funding for the tech industry
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this announcement at the Art of Technology Lagos 1.0 event themed “Bridging the Gap.”
The Governor while giving his speech said, the funds will be used to help tech entrepreneurs and innovators achieve their dreams. Sanwo-Olu added that the event is the platform on which Lagos as a smart city will be unraveled.
“It is with pleasure that I welcome you to the Art of Technology 1.0. This is the platform on which the future of Lagos State as a smart city will be unraveled,” Sanwo-Olu.
The Art of Technology Lagos (AOT Lagos 1.0) is a tech event organized by Olatunbosun Alake, Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation & Technology to drive innovations that will create a more digital city of Lagos.
The event is in line with its commitment to bridge the gap between government and the technology ecosystem and to co-curate the Lagos Innovation Masterplan. It also brought together several tech giants, policymakers, government officials, venture capitalists, product designers programmers, tech enthusiasts, and innovators.
