Barely two weeks after the Twitter account of prominent politicians, celebrities among other public figures was successfully hacked, the US authorities have been able to track down three lead suspects
A British man, a Florida man and a teenage Florida kid identified as Graham Clark, 17, have been charged as suspects responsible for the Twitter hack that claimed more $100,000 from victims across the globe.
The hack which took place on the 15th of July hijacked the account of prominent figures including Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Mike Bloomberg and a number of tech billionaires including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
While the hackers took temporal control of those accounts, they sent out series of tweets asking people to send a specific amount of Bitcoin up-to $1000 and get It doubled up. Unfortunately, a lot of victims fell for the trick just before the malicious act was unraveled.
