Estate Intel wins $10,000 during Pitch Storm 2019 by TechPoint Africa…
Estate intel, an online platform that offers an extensive range of research products, analysis and coverage of real estate market, has emerged top start up at Pitch Storm 2019 bagging an equity free prize money of $10,000.
Pitch Storm is an annual startup competition and a core segment of Techpoint Build, an annual startup and SME event hosted by Techpoint Africa.
Over 200 startups, including Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, applied to participate although only 20 startups qualified to take the stage on the 26th of January, 2019.
The panel of judges which included, Tomi Davies of the Lagos Angel Network (LAN), Yele Bademosi, formerly of Microtraction, Damilola Thompson, Senior Corporate Counsel at EchoVC and Maya Horgan, Founder, Ingressive Capital; finally selected Estate Intel as the overall winner with Foodlocker, an Ibadan based online grocery delivery startup and Codetrain, a Ghanian-based code school working to close the developer skill gaps in Africa. Estate Intel and Foodlocker also got an immediate offer to pitch at LAN’s network of investors before the end of January.
The extension of Pitch Storm would most definitely return in mid 2019 with the East Africa Edition.
