Over time, we have heard different rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, however if there is at least one feature of the phone that can be confirmed, it would be that it is expected to launch with the latest version of Bixby, Samsung’s version of Apple’s Siri.
According to a new report, Samsung’s AI chief, Gray G. Lee told the publication that the Note 9 would feature an improved version of Bixby. Although the specifics wasn’t stated however, he claimed that the newly improved Bixby comes with an enhanced natural language processing which means that users can talk to Bixby “normally”, an improved noise resistance and faster response times.
That being said, whether or not Bixby 2.0 will deliver remains to be seen, especially in such a competitive space where companies like Amazon and Google seem to be cornering the market, especially with their smart speaker products. Samsung is hoping to connect a total of 14 million units of its products with Bixby this year and has a grand ambition of connecting all of it by 2020. The smartphone is expected to be launched in the second half of 2018.
