Have you ever wanted to know how much sugar is in that drink you just bought from the store? Sure, you could check the nutrition information, but sometimes this can be tricky. After all, how can you really visualize how many grams of sugar is in your drink if you were not part of the production team?
Over in Japan, a man by the name of Daiki Shimizu decided that he needed to get a better idea of how much sugar is in his drinks and has since developed an app that can visualize sugar. How it works is pretty simple, where through the app, it scans the barcode of the drink and then it will pull up an image that shows how much sugar is in that drink.

(Translation: An application that converts the sugar contained in juice into bran sugar).
This is actually not the first time that we’ve seen such apps. For example, MyFitnessPal also has the ability to scan the barcodes of food items to pull up the nutritional information about the food. However, the main difference is that Shimizu’s app is that it can visualize the information, so you have an idea of just how many sugar cubes there are in your drink.
Unfortunately, the bad news is that the app is not available for download yet. According to Shimizu who responded to users asking for it, he stated that the app was actually developed a year ago but it was shelved. However, due to popular demand, he decided to make it available through the Apple App Store where it is currently awaiting approval.
