One of the foremost ride-hailing service- Uber is entering the ad business, and for the very first time, will be including advertisement in one of its services-Uber Eats
With the latest development, you might soon come across ads while looking for what to order in the Uber Eats. The parent company has been working on adding more ways of generating revenue on its platform, and the latest will be the inclusion of more relevant paid-ads option/suggestion on its Uber Eats app.
The new development was first sighted via a job listing post on the platform where the company appears to be hunting for a Group product manager. In the post, Uber outlined the role and all that is required to fit into the position.
In line with the job listing, the ads business seems more like an experiment, as a part of the post reads: “As this is a brand new space for Uber, you will be responsible for defining the vision for this new product area and determining where to start building.” But it could be another way for Uber to generate more revenue.
As it stands, Ads are not the only idea that Uber is currently testing. A few weeks back, the company announced an experimental phase for “Uber Moments,”– dining and cooking class experiences that users can book through Eats. Also, it recently made a push into the financial sector where it lends out loans to its drivers. It is very obvious that the company is trying so hard to be more revenue-focused than ever.
