WhatsApp is reportedly presently working on a new feature that will allow users to use account on multiple devices.
Reports suggested multi-device support will be accessible on the famous messaging app which first appeared in November last year. WABetaInfo announced that, in the future, one WhatsApp account might be used concurrently on as many as four computers.
A tweet on social media mentioned that “Yes, it’s the ability to use your WhatsApp account from 4 devices at the same time. Under development, but it’s great!”
Users can currently simultaneously sign in from one smartphone and Computer (via WhatsApp Web). There is no information however as to whether the update will be cross-platform. Basically, it’s not clear whether a user with both an iPad and an Android phone can use that feature.
Another of the beta versions of iOS last year introduced a new function that requested users to register with a code. Once permitted it allows a user to use WhatsApp using the same account on multiple devices.
WABetaInfo discovered that feature for iOS 22.214.171.124 on WhatsApp beta. When signing into a new computer, WhatsApp normally asks for a previously defined authentication code.
In the beta edition, the device told the account was being questioned for a login code. In this version, a notification also appeared although it had not been enabled.
It is confirmed that WhatsApp is also evaluating a whole other feature that will allow users to search by date while searching through recent discussions and group chats. If this is activated, it will be much easier to search for a given date message than it is now.
