Dark mode is beginning to see a wider spread and just a moment after Windows 10 rolled out a partial dark mode, it is already rolling out a full dark mode for its mail app too
Microsoft was one of the first to tease a dark mode on its platform, and while a number of apps have adopted the trend already, Microsoft is also rolling out a total Dark mode for its Mail app. The tech giant announced of the latest development in the early hour of today, and while it is expected to take effect almost immediately, the full dark mode will be rolling out as part of the latest update released by the software giant. Previously, the app would show a white background in emails instead of a black one. Microsoft has also added a toggle to switch between dark and light backgrounds in the body of emails, as some email content will be obscured with dark mode enabled.
Talking about the ‘toggle to switch’ feature, it is almost the same as the Dark mode- both share similarities with Microsoft’s Outlook.com service. Microsoft introduced a dark mode for Outlook.com back in July, and the Mail app of Windows 10 now mostly matches it. Microsoft’s calendar portion of the Mail and Calendar app for Windows 10 remains the same and has always supported a full dark mode.
Like I said earlier, the new feature is now available, and You can download the latest Mail app for Windows 10 from the Microsoft Store.
