Despite announcement by Korean and Chinese manufacturers like Huawei and Samsung to cross into the punch screen mobile market, one of China’s leading OEM Xiaomi has maintained the notch.
The brand’s new device the MI Play will feature a notch screen rather than the punch. Although funny enough, the device comes with a “water droplet” notch that’s very much a notch, even if it’s round.
On back however, the phone features a dual, rear-facing camera that is vertically-aligned, which is not any different from iPhone X line up of devices .
The colour choices are all looking lovely with trendy gradient options in purple or red.
Specs-wise, the Mi Play includes:

- MediaTek P35 processor
- 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage
- 3,000mAh battery with a Micro USB charging port
- Rear-mounted fingerprint sensor
- 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear-facing cameras
