Who else noticed a downtime in YouTube’s server connectivity in the early hours of this morning, maybe a few people did
The streaming network had a twitch in the service in the early hours of today, around 1:20 AM GMT to be specific, which was the exact period that many users across the world started to notice the downtime. The service went totally off and was inaccessible for about an hours and a couple of minutes. most of the network products including YouTube TV and YouTube Music was also affected by the service disruption.
Never seen YouTube down for 30+ minutes like this before 👀

However, around the hours of 2:35 AM GMT, the YouTube took to there tweeter page to tender an apology to its many users for the interruption in their service. “We’re working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed,” the Team YouTube account says. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated.” the team added much later when the outage persisted.
Unlike many of the Google-operated networks, it is, however, a rare experience for YouTube to experience such outage that took hours to get resolved. YouTube TV did suffer service interruption at an inopportune time during this summer’s World Cup, however, and channel pages went down for a while in April. Perhaps most infamously, Pakistan’s government accidentally caused an hours-long global YouTube blackout a decade ago by attempting to censor a trailer for an anti-Islamic film which still remains one of the most unusually recorded outage events for YouTube until this recent one.
Good enough for the streaming network, who have successfully restored back the services to the norm. Now the network is accessible for all the products. YpuTube, however, took to its tweeter page to announce the end of the outage and likewise tender a sincere apology.
We're back! Thanks for all of your patience. If you continue to experience issues, please let us know. https://t.co/NVU5GP7Sy6
